1. The service

Tolka Live is a software service from Briljans that translates speech into text and an AI voice in real time. The service consists of a web app in the browser and a desktop program for macOS/Windows, together with cloud-based transcription and translation, and requires an internet connection.

2. Account and license

• One account and license key applies to one organisation (e.g. a church or a company).
• You are responsible for keeping credentials and the license key secure.
• The license grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during the subscription period.

3. Free trial

New accounts receive a free trial of 15 minutes of translation. The trial applies once per computer and requires no payment card.

4. Prices and payment

• Subscriptions are paid monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
• All prices are stated excluding VAT.
• Extra hours purchased in the portal are one-time purchases and roll over until used.
• Price changes are announced at least [30] days in advance and apply from the next billing period.

5. Translation hours

Each plan includes a number of translation hours per calendar month. Unused monthly hours do not carry over. The app warns at around 80% usage, and the service pauses when both monthly hours and any extra hours are used up.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time in the portal. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing period; already paid periods are not refunded. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Quality of AI translation

AI translation is very good but not perfect. Captions and voice should be regarded as a support for the audience and do not constitute certified interpretation or translation. We do not guarantee error-free translations and are not liable for decisions made based on them.

8. Availability and technical problems

The service is delivered over the internet and relies on AI services and infrastructure from third parties. Technical problems, outages and planned maintenance can occur, on our side or at our providers, and we do not guarantee that the service is available without interruption or error. During an outage we work to restore the service as quickly as possible, and you can always reach us through Support in your account or at info@tolkalive.se.

Before an important event we recommend testing the full setup in advance and having a fallback for situations where captions are essential. The service does not replace certified interpretation.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. We are not liable for indirect damages (e.g. lost profit or lost data) or for outages caused by third parties such as internet, AI or cloud providers. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid for the service during the past 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

10. Intellectual property

All rights to the app, the website and the Tolka Live trademark belong to us. You may not copy, modify, decompile or redistribute the software.

11. Personal data

How we process personal data is described in our privacy policy.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email or in the portal. Swedish law applies and disputes are settled by Swedish courts.
